This month we are putting the spotlight on Krista Karle, our Senior Project Manager. It’s a great opportunity to see what she has to say from a project manager’s point of view and to get to know her a bit better.
At the base of Pikes Peak in Manitou Springs, CO
Number of years at Central Data:
My husband and kids, camping, mountains, ATV’ing, genuine people, animals (I have 2 Siberian huskies, 1 jackuahua, 2 cats, 1 ball python, and a rescued chipmunk), rescuing abandoned baby critters (squirrels, kittens, chipmunks, etc.), paying it forward, music (I am very eclectic in my taste), laughter, rain on your skin and sun on your shoulders, and living every day like it is your last.
People that bring you down, negativity, liver – it’s nasty, sand, heights, spiders and the word ‘moist’.
17 years @ Infor. I have worked in administration, project management, sales, and marketing. I feel that the breadth of knowledge and skills acquired there gives me a 360 degree view of a customer’s experience. I am able take this expertise and make a customer’s implementation / upgrade experience as pleasant as possible.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
I love the challenge of bringing all aspects of a project together and making things happen. I also enjoy getting to know Central Data’s customers and their businesses.
What’s the best advice you can give customers going through a new implementation & upgrade of their ERP system?
Things will happen that will be out of everyone’s control. Don’t get discouraged – hang on and be patient.
Why do you think customers should chose Central Data?
Having worked with Central Data over the years – I have always found them to be professional, knowledgeable, and overall amazing – they are truly a great group of people!
What should our customers look forward to in the upcoming year with their projects?
I am revamping the overall process. You should find that the upgrade and implementation projects flow much more smooth and seamless.
As we move into the New Year, what was your biggest highlight/achievement last year?
Being welcomed into the Central Data family!
Finally, tell us something your work colleagues & clients wouldn’t know about you?
I am a stage 4 colon cancer survivor! I just celebrated 7 years!! Going through that experience and coming out on the other side has given me an appreciation for so many things. It has provided me a perspective of what is important in life – don’t sweat the small stuff, breathe, work hard / play hard, hug your littles, smile, laugh, cry, cherish those who are important to you, say please and thank you, compliment people, being kind always, it’s ok to have the hard discussions – be gentle in your delivery, if you are going to do something – do it well!, it’s okay to fail, be compassionate, treasure each moment for what it is – good or bad, and every opportunity is a learning experience.
Thank you, Krista! It’s been a pleasure Getting to know you better.
